Are you ready to fight for a fair contract at Giant & Safeway?
Are you sick of your store being understaffed? Not getting enough hours? Being asked to do two jobs for the price of one?
Negotiations with Giant & Safeway on our next union contract will begin in September. Now is the time to show both companies we are united and ready to fight for a fair contract!
Join us on Thursday, September 12 in Washington, D.C. for a rally and march at Giant Food and Safeway stores to demand a fair contract!
Our goals are simple:
- Wages we can live on
- Schedules we can depend on
- Healthcare we can afford
- Pension we can count on
- Better staffing for better customer service
Here’s the plan:
- At 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, we will rally at Giant Food #376 (1400 7th Street NW, Washington, DC).
- From there, we will march through the streets of D.C. to Safeway #2737 (490 L St NW, Washington, DC 20001) where we will hold a closing rally.
