Following votes taken in stores this week, UFCW Local 400 members working at Kroger under the Roanoke contract voted to ratify a new collective bargaining agreement.
Members voted 301-249 in favor of adopting the new contract. Ballots were tallied over Zoom videoconference today to allow members to witness the count.
The new three-year agreement takes effect June 12, 2022 and expires June 7, 2025. Download the highlight sheet to review an outline of all changes to the contract.
“With this agreement, we were able to accomplish our goals of better pay, affordable health care, more personal holidays, and schedules that work,” said UFCW Local 400 President Mark Federici. “No contract is perfect, but we can all be proud of the work of our bargaining advisory committee in helping us through difficult negotiations to secure this contract.”
