Giant & Safeway Tele-Town Hall & Contract Vote

We have reached a tentative agreement with Giant & Safeway that we, along with your bargaining committee, are unanimously recommending for ratification.

Join us on Thursday, November 2 at 3:30 p.m. for a Tele-Town Hall to review the companies’ offers on our next union contract. You can download copies of the offers at the links below.

We are doing a Tele-Town Hall to make it as easy as possible for every member to attend the meeting. During the Tele-Town Hall, we will review the proposals in detail and answer any questions you may have. You must register to attend the Tele-Town Hall by filling out the form below.

Voting will take place at select stores from Monday, November 6 through Thursday, November 9 to make it as convenient as possible for every member to vote. The voting schedule with dates and locations is below. Voting will not take place over the phone. If you are unable to attend the Tele-Town Hall, print copies of the company’s offer will be provided at each voting site and union reps will be available to answer your questions before you cast a vote.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us or talk to your shop steward or union rep.

Registration is now closed. Please call our headquarters at 301-459-3400 to get access to the event.

Voting Schedule

Voting will occur in select stores according to the schedule below.

  • Voting is open at each location from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • You must be a member to vote.
  • You can vote at any of the stores; you do not need to work at that store or for that company to vote there.
  • Print copies of the company’s offer will be provided at each voting site and union reps will be available to answer your questions before you cast a vote.
