The three local unions represent a combined 30,500 Maryland voters
LANDOVER, Md. (June 13, 2024) – Today, three United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW) local unions announced their endorsement of Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks for Senate.
The three unions – UFCW Local 400, UFCW Local 27, and UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO – represent a powerhouse of working people, with a combined 30,500 members in Maryland working in a wide variety of industries, including grocery, retail, health care, food processing, meatpacking, cannabis, gaming, and more, as well as the public sector.
“Taken together, our three unions represent more than 30,000 working Marylanders who are ready to ensure Angela Alsobrooks is our next Senator,” said UFCW Local 400 President Mark Federici. “Ms. Alsobrooks has stood by us in Prince George’s County time and time again over the years, and we will stand by her. We know she will be the champion for working people we need in Washington.”
