UFCW Local 400 pharmacists working at CVS recently ratified a strong new collective bargaining agreement that achieves record wage hikes and other improvements.

The four-year contract, which took effect retroactively on March 25, 2025, provides for wage increases ranging from 9% to 15% over the life of the agreement. In addition, UFCW Local 400 secured CVS’ agreement to provide 30 days’ notification of any store openings or closings, and won stronger labor-management cooperation.

“This is a great victory for UFCW Local 400 pharmacists,” said President Mark Federici. “They stood together in solidarity and as a result won pay increases that better reflect the invaluable services they provide to enhance their customers’ health and the enormous value they add to CVS as a company.”

The collective bargaining agreement covers 429 pharmacists working in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.
