UFCW Local 400 members working at DanChem in Danville, Va. voted to ratify a strong new union contract on December 19.
The three-year collective bargaining agreement has many new highlights, including:
- Substantial across-the-board pay increases each year
- Additional holiday on Good Friday
- Transition to “PTO” form of leave including carry over and cash out
- New hire orientation language that gives us time to explain union membership and sign up new employees
